Dr. Maria Gutierrez Horn’s journey began at the Ponce School of Medicine in Puerto Rico, where she graduated Valedictorian of the Class of 1996. Her academic prowess led her to be inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, a testament to her exceptional dedication and commitment to the field of medicine.
Continuing her pursuit of excellence, Dr. Maria Gutierrez Horn embarked on her residency and fellowship training at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. During her tenure, she was awarded the esteemed Louis Trentin Award for being the Most Outstanding 3rd Year Resident, in recognition of her exceptional dedication and contributions to the medical field.
With a career spanning over 20 years at two premier Endocrinology Practices (Boynton Beach Endocrinology, PA, Palm Beach Diabetes and Endocrine specialists, PA) she honed her clinical skills treating an exceptionally diverse patient base suffering with diabetes, thyroid disorders and various endocrine conditions. She also played a pivotal role as a preceptor for podiatry residents at Baptist Hospital-Bethesda-East, underscoring her commitment to holistic patient care.
Dr. Maria Gutierrez Horn is at the forefront of the latest advancements in her field of specialty and is a member of these esteemed professional organizations including the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology, Endocrine Society, Florida Endocrine Association and the Institute for Functional Medicine.
